The World's First Purpose-Built Offshore Carbon Storage Platform Is Installed

Eni CCUS Holding installed the Douglas platform in Liverpool Bay, the first offshore platform built specifically for carbon capture and storage serving industrial decarbonization. As the hub of the HyNet cluster, it will funnel CO2 captured from factories across North West England and North Wales into depleted gas reservoirs for permanent storage.
