A Table-Mounted Surgical Robot Completed Its First Human Surgery in Toronto
Revolve Surgical's arm, which mounts to the operating table rather than needing a dedicated room, completed its first human appendectomy at St. Michael's Hospital on Oct 1. It has Health Canada investigational approval and US FDA premarket clearance, and aims to cost a fraction of seven-figure systems like da Vinci.
