A Surgical Robot That Lets Surgeons Feel Tissue Operated in a UK First

Surgeons at St Thomas' Hospital in London used new Force Feedback instruments on a da Vinci 5 robot for the first time in the UK, letting them feel tissue resistance through the console controls. The first patient, 57-year-old Nicholas Kokkinos, was up and moving a day after his hernia repair with barely noticeable incision pain.
