Retired EV Batteries Get a Second Life, Then Get Recycled

Rivian and Redwood Materials expanded their partnership so retired EV battery packs are first repurposed for stationary energy storage, including 10 MWh at Rivian's Normal, Illinois plant, and then recycled to recover more than 95% of critical materials like lithium, nickel, cobalt, and copper.
