A Solar Plant Makes Gas From Sunlight and Air, Entirely Off the Grid
Rivan Industries deployed its first commercial-scale 1 MW synthetic natural gas system in the UK, powered entirely by its own solar array with no grid connection at any stage. An earlier pilot already proved grid-spec conversion at 99.7% purity, so the solar-made methane can drop into existing gas infrastructure, and the company expects production costs 80% below historical benchmarks once commissioning completes.
