A 110-Story Floating Turbine Is Feeding an Oilfield Wind Power

China's CNOOC switched on Haiyou Anlan, the world's first 16-megawatt turbine on a tension-leg floating platform, in 136-metre water off Guangdong. It is expected to generate 54 million kilowatt-hours a year, replacing about 15,000 cubic metres of fuel oil.
