Teacher-Guided AI Tutoring Gave Nigerian Students Nearly 1.5 Years of Learning in Six Weeks

In a randomised trial across nine public secondary schools in Edo State, Nigeria, students in a six-week after-school programme using GPT-4 under teacher supervision gained about 0.3 standard deviations, equal to nearly 1.5 years of typical learning. The gains carried over to end-of-year exams, and the programme outperformed around 80% of education interventions studied in the developing world.

Grok Bot: A Scoped 'Stop' Cascaded Into a Stop-All Across Every Teammate Bot

Bot Swarms · October 2026 Gaffe level: Blunder

A user told one Grok Bot agent to 'stop' its own current task; the bot ran a stop-all instead, cancelling the in-flight turns and subagents of all 10 of the user's other teammate bots. Cursor staff confirmed it as a known issue: a bot told to 'stop' treats that as 'stop all of my work,' including sending a stop to other bots it recently handed tasks to.
