Europe's Largest Operating Battery Is Now Live in the UK at 1,243 MWh
Europe's largest operating battery by stored energy is now live in the UK: the first phase of BW ESS's Hams Hall project stores 1,243 MWh at 350 MW and went from grid connection to commercial operation in just 20 days. Once phase two finishes it will reach 400 MW and 1,424 MWh, enough to power about 1.3 million homes for up to 3.5 hours.
