A Norwegian Hospital's AI Radiology Workflow Has Helped 74,000 Patients and Cut Waiting Times

Norway's Vestre Viken Hospital Trust became the country's first to run AI across its whole radiology workflow, with an AI fracture detector supporting X-ray reads. Since 2023 the system has helped 74,000 patients, saved 594 days of waiting time, prevented 13,800 emergency consultations and lifted radiologist sensitivity from 93 to 98 percent.
